Switching from commercial hair care products to natural products can be difficult. We have all been brought up to believe certain things about our hair care, many of which are simply not true. Anyone who has used an all-natural shampoo, particularly shampoo bars, knows that your hair feels “squeaky” in the shower. Most of us, at this point, panic a bit … at least until we realize that our hair actually looks GREAT after using the natural option.
To help out during that transition period, or at any time where your hair is feeling weighed down, heavy, oily, or just generally lackluster, I’ve developed a line of Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinses. These simple rinses are meant to be used in the shower after you shampoo, in place of your conditioner.
The rinse will smell of vinegar in the shower, but the only scent that will remain in your hair is the scent of the essential oils. Avoid getting this rinse in your eyes or in open cuts because it will sting.
For best results, use no more than 2-3 times per week. More than that will cause your hair to dry out. Separation is natural with this rinse since it contains both vinegar and oils, so shake vigorously before spraying on hair. Rinse thoroughly, towel dry, and prepare to be amazed at how soft and shiny your hair is!
